Actuator/Rate Controls
A rate control is used to regulate the speed or time required for a mechanism to move from one position to another. Enidine's hydraulic rate controls use proven technology to enhance performance in a variety of product applications.

Rate controls are ideal in commercial aviation applications such as:

  • Drop-down stowage bins. Enidine rate controls offer a smooth, controlled articulating bin opening motion, whether the
       bin is empty or full.
  • Flight attendant seats. Flight attendant seats typically must have a seat pan that folds up automatically to ensure
clearance at points of aircraft egress. Enidine rate controls provide a smooth return of the seat pan to its upright
       position.
  • Engine cowlings. During engine maintenance, the cowlings are lifted up and secured by hold-open rods. When the    rods are released, Enidine rate controls slow the descent of the heavy cowlings to ensure maximum safety for
       maintenance personnel.

Airstair dampers. On bizjet airstair units where lift assistance is not required, Enidine rate controls provide consistent,
long-life performance in controlling the deployment speed of the airstair Enidine offers a wide range of rate controls that
provide motion control in tension, compression, or both directions.
