Custom Solutions
Nearly one half of all Enidine Incorporated's business involves custom engineered product development for our customers. Although Enidine Incorporated offers the industry's leading range of standard products, customers - just like you - are continuously asking for innovative uses for products involved in energy absorption, vibration isolation, and motion control applications. Our significant investments in the latest technology for testing, prototyping and development allow Enidine Incorporated to quickly produce custom solutions for you in all product areas.

Quite often, by the time customers come to Enidine Incorporated with their special requirements, they have already entered the design phase of product development. Time is crucial, and without a prompt solution to a shock, vibration or motion control problem, the designer cannot move forward in the development process. Enidine Incorporated excels in our ability to deliver a fast and effective solution to your application.

The Process
Over the past 30 years, Enidine Incorporated has developed an effective process for the creation of custom solutions. One of the most critical steps is defining the problem. Working with the customer, Enidine Incorporated thoroughly analyzes the situation to determine if the correct problem has been identified, because a solution to the wrong problem is no solution at all.

Once the challenge has been defined, our team of engineers works to develop a solution within the parameters defined by the customer. Often times, the customer's engineering team works in concert with Enidine Incorporated to help guide the process.

Analysis & Testing

Enidine Incorporated's engineering team is trained to combine innovative approaches to problem solving with technical knowledge. Their vast experience in many industries - solving real world problems - is a resource unto itself, resulting in superior solutions. For instance, an engineered solution developed for the defense industry might also be applicable in the packaging industry. The engineering team, drawing from its previous success, will bring this application into a new form, reaching the same level of isolation required.

After the problem is identified, the team continues with the analysis, design, materials qualification, and prototyping as well as static and dynamic testing. Often Enidine Incorporated presents the customer with several solutions that achieve better cost effectiveness or improved performance. The ultimate solution is the one that meets the customer's objectives fully.

Cutting-Edge Resources
Enidine Incorporated's technical team has a wealth of tools at their disposal for the development, testing and production of custom products. By placing these tools in the hands of our experienced engineers, Enidine Incorporated's customers receive unrivaled engineering solutions. Some of these tools include:

  • Systems Analysis

    • Model analysis
    • Linear and non-linear analysis
    • 6 degrees of freedom dynamic analysis

Shock and Vibration Analysis

Three-dimensional dynamic analysis and simulation capability lets Enidine Incorporated analyze system performance and test many permutations before a prototype is built. Shown here is a scissor lift fitted with an Enidine Incorporated Air Spring and Rate Control.

This graph shows the output from a vibration test using a shaker table. The analysis was used to understand the dynamic response of an isolator product under different vibration excitation inputs. Enidine Incorporated has the capability to run frequency sweeps, random vibration and various shock pulse test inputs using this system.

Three-dimensional modeling allows customers to easily visualize a custom product concept and view it from any angle. Shown here is an Air Spring, lift table, and an elastomeric mount. Enidine Incorporated engineers can use this rapid prototyping tool to evaluate parametric 3-D models quickly to reduce product lead-time. The finished models are often combined with a customer's 3-D model to show the integrated product solution.

3D Modelling

Enidine Incorporated believes our in-house tools let us develop custom solutions faster. Software tools such as dynamic analysis let engineers simulate system movement. Even before it is developed, the product prototype can be simulated as a three-dimensional model and subjected to the same tests. This improves the success of a prototype by reducing error and cost as well as speeding up development time. This method ensures the reliability, durability and performance of the product when it reaches full-scale development and production.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) uses both 2-D and 3-D models to visualize the effects of stress levels on components from loading and deformation. By using FEA, Enidine Incorporated is able to predict part performance prior to making prototypes. This process helps to reduce the product development cycle. Linear and non-linear analysis of metal, plastic and rubber components is also possible.Finite Element Analysis
A comprehensive in-house test facility provides computer controlled testing, automatic data acquisition, vibro-dynamic testing, drop testing and static/dynamic test capabilities.

Materials
Enidine Incorporated selects quality materials and components for all its products to meet or exceed customer expectations. These materials are subjected to uncompromising quality inspections, so that we can ensure that each product achieves the highest quality standards.

For elastomeric products, Enidine Incorporated develops many different elastomer compounds to meet specific customer requirements. Elastomers, such as silicone, natural rubber, and neoprene compounds, are engineered to improve the fatigue life and dynamic response of products over a wide temperature range. A database of material performance test data is continually updated so that our materials knowledge can be applied to new product requirements.

Manufacture
Enidine Incorporated makes use of "cellular manufacturing" to provide customers with quicker delivery times and shorter runs that are required by Just-In-Time inventory systems.

The company is ISO 9001 certified and meets current Mil specs, as well as quality requirements of major international corporations. Enidine Incorporated complies with military, defense, commercial aviation, automotive, and other industrial standards. Prototype and production testing ensures that our parts meet specification and customer requirements.
