Elastomeric Rod Ends

Elastomeric Rod Ends, Sidewall Vibration And Noise Isolators
Commercial and military aircraft manufacturers need to build planes that offer durable support for interior service equipment, while ensuring the quitest cabin possible for passengers and crew. Overhead stowage bins and other structures need to accommodate changes in alignment while reducing in-flight, structure-borne noise that can disturb occupants and lower aircraft performance. To meet these and other application parameters, Enidine has developed a family of innovative elastomeric rod end products. Their versatile design effectively supports the load capacity, offers alignment forgiveness, resists radial push-out forces and reduces high frequency noise by 20 dB or more.

Enidine Rod Ends are constructed of a specially developed elastomer, molded between the alodine-coated aluminum or stainless steel inner and outer race of the aspherical rod end.

This special elastomer has unique operating characteristics, producing components that are highly durable with excellent noise isolation qualities. The 7075-T6 lightweight aluminum components give the rod end the capability to accommodate high ultimate loads, with the high strength-to-weight ratio required for critical commercial aircraft applications.
